Electricity that comes into your home from the power lines outside first goes into the distribution panel. From this panel electricity gets routed to various sections of your house. The different areas, such as the living room, kitchen and bedrooms, each have a dedicated circuit. These circuits to power electrical outlets and light fixtures.
